ROUND 18 PREVIEW – LEAGUE ONE WOMEN’S

NEWS-2

Nepean FC vs Blacktown City FC, Sunday 9 July, 3pm, Cook Park

Surging Nepean FC welcome local rivals Blacktown City FC to Cook Park for their game on Sunday afternoon.

Nepean FC were impressive in their 3-0 win away from home against Marconi Stallions last weekend to remain in sixth spot.

It was back-to-back hat-tricks for Maria Serrant for Nepean FC and the in-form striker will be tough to handle for teams in the back half of the season.

They have built a good young squad which includes Ella Goodwin and Sofia Sollecito that will motor them forward in the next few weeks.

Blacktown City FC had a formidable performance before losing 1-0 to Hills United FC in their game at Bella Vista Public School.

The visitors will look to attackers Jenny Hughes and Alyse-May Mccutcheon to help them find the back of the net and take home three points.

Defender Malea Cesar has been a key cog for Blacktown City FC and she heads to camp with the Philippines for the FIFA Womens World Cup and will be missed.
